Bluntmons (BD League)

Introduction

I will just be blunt here: This metagame is not for sharp minds.
In fact, be as dull as possible. That is the point of victory.

Lame puns aside, Bluntmons is a Special Metagame for the 6th Gen BD League that is based on a simple concept:

No STAB moves are allowed.

e.g. Dugtrio can not use Earthquake, Earth Power, Magnitude or any Ground-types moves that deal damage.
Similarly, Starmie can not use any Water and Psychic type attacks.

What's your point?
Obviously, this means the whole OU as you know it changes.
Talonflame is unable to spam Brave Bird (but still has priority Roost and Tailwind), Rotom Wash can neither spam Volt Switch nor Hydro Pump, and Tyranitar wonders what it can do without Pursuit trapping.

You can still use any status moves (like Heatran using Will-o-wisp) and any moves with fixed damage (like Machamp using Seismic Toss).

However, using moves or Abilities that change the opponent's/ user's type is not allowed, due to STABs possibly being obtainable from the type change.
Strong Jaw and Mega Launcher, which gives 50% boost to certain moves (same as STAB) is allowed as it is not technically a STAB boost. Tyrantrum and Clawitzer FTW!

Everything suddenly turns defense-oriented, making status, stalling and hazard setting more important than ever.
But surprise set-up, especially with Taunt and Substitute, can make or break a game as well.
Also, coverage is the most important factor when making team members as, well, no Pokémon can use STAB!

Tier: When making a challenge, select the tier as ORAS Ubers, keeping the following clauses and banlist in mind.

Standard Clauses

• Sleep Clause: Players cannot induce sleep to more than one Pokémon on the opposing team at the same time.
  
• Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
  
• Baton Pass Clause: Players cannot have more than one Pokémon with the move Baton Pass.
